A neat and nifty technique tutorial for cardmaking with alcohol ink backgrounds
Do you fancy really ramping up your cardmaking? We've got a terrific tutorial suited for the earliest beginner to the most experienced papercrafter! This article will help you create your own stunning background for all of your marvellous makes. Applicable to a vast variety of colour combinations, the possibilities provided by this alcohol inking technique are endless! How to create an alcohol ink background
Step 1: Take your Yupo paper, cover with blending solution and dot your chosen colours of alcohol ink liberally all over.
Step 2: Add dots of a lighter colour of ink.
Step 3: Apply dots of the blending solution. This will lighten the overall effect and create a bleached look where placed.
Step 4: Use a drinking straw to blow the ink around the piece until desired effect is achieved. Leave until completely dry.
And there you have it! A simple yet incredibly effective cardmaking technique to give your papercrafting the chance to swim, not s'ink'!
