Homemade birthday cards for boys

What do I need?

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make a 12x15cm card blank.
  2. Cover with light blue card measuring 12x14.5cm.
  3. Mount 12x10cm striped paper onto dark blue card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges only.
  4. Cut out the topper measuring 8.5x11.cm and double mount onto light blue and dark blue card.
  5. Add corner detailing on the topper with a black fine liner pen and then attach to the card front with foam pads.
  6. Die-cut a cloud, stamp a sentiment with black ink and attach onto the card.

What do I need?

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make a 13.5cm square card blank.
  2. Cover with light blue card measuring 13.5cm square.
  3. Emboss 12.5cm square white card using a Cloud embossing folder and mount onto coral card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges.
  4. Mount a strip of striped paper measuring 12.5x4.5cm onto coral card, leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges.
  5. Colour the topper face with E00 and hair with E25 and cut out to measure 9.5cm square.
  6. Draw a frame with a black fine liner pen and mount onto oversized coral card with foam pads.
  7. Die-cut a circle from blue card and a number 4 from coral card.
  8. Assemble together with foam pads.
  9. Finish by adding a silver adhesive gem in each corner.

What do I need?

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make a 13x12.5cm card blank.
  2. Cover with light blue card measuring 13x12.5cm.
  3. Cut a piece of star paper and stripe paper, each measuring 12x6cm and glue to the top and bottom of the card.
  4. Cut out the topper measuring 12.5x7.5cm.
  5. Cut mint card measuring 12.5x8cm and coral card 12.5x 9cm.
  6. Die-cut a border to the bottom of the coral card and triple mount to the card front.
  7. Punch three stars from navy card, add a button and pearls to the centre.
  8. Stamp a sentiment with black ink on blue card and attach to the card front with foam pads.

  2. Cut a piece of patterned paper measuring 12.5x10.5cm and glue to the card front.
  3. Cut a piece of striped paper measuring 13.5x4.5cm and attach to a piece of white card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges. Stick to the card front. Cut out the topper measuring 9x11.5cm and attach to navy card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges. Draw a frame inside the topper with a black fi ne liner pen and fix in place with foam pads. Stamp a sentiment with black ink on blue card and die-cut, securing to the card with foam pads. Finish off  with wooden buttons.

What do I need?

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make a 14cm square card blank.
  2. Cut patterned paper measuring 13.5cm square and attach to the card front.
  3. Cut patterned paper measuring 8.5x11.5cm and white card measuring 9x12cm and glue in place.
  4. Wrap twine around the card and tie into a knot.
  5. Cut out the topper measuring 9x11cm and double mount onto coral and white card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges. Fix in place with foam pads.
  6. Attach a die-cut sentiment and three enamel dots to finish.

What do I need?

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make an 11.5x12cm card blank.
  2. Cut coral card measuring 11x12cm and stick to the front.
  3. Mount blue card onto white card leaving a narrow gap on either side and glue in place.
  4. Cut a strip of striped paper measuring 11x1.5cm and mount onto white card leaving a narrow border at the top and bottom. Glue to the front of the card.
  5. Die-cut two circles from patterned paper and two scallop circles from white card, glue together and then glue to the card front.
  6. Cut out the topper and fix in place with foam pads.
  7. Stamp a sentiment with black ink on white card, cut out and attach with foam pads.
  8. Add three buttons to finish.

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make an 11.5x13cm card blank.
  2. Cut a piece of Kraft card measuring 11x12.5 and a piece of patterned paper measuring 10.5x12cm. Mount to the card blank.
  3. Cut a piece of striped paper and secure onto Kraft card before and gluing in place at an angle.
  4. Die-cut a circle from white card, emboss with a star folder and glue to the left side.
  5. Attach hessian ribbon and a narrow strip of blue card to the card front.
  6. Cut two banners from blue card, add frames with a black fine liner pen and a button.
  7. Cut out the topper and fix in place with foam pads.
  8. Stamp a sentiment with black ink on Kraft card, cut out and attach to the card front with foam pads.

Method

  1. Cut and fold white card to make a 14.5x10cm card blank.
  2. Cut patterned paper measuring 13.5x9cm and attach to light Kraft card leaving a narrow border on all four eges. Glue to the card front.
  3. Cut a strip of blue card, and mount on dark Kraft card leaving a narrow border on the top and bottom edges.
  4. Attach a length of ribbon to the blue card and stick to the card front.
  5. Cut out the topper measuring 10x11cm, adding a frame with a black fine liner pen.
  6. Mount the topper onto light Kraft and dark Kraft card leaving a narrow border on all four sides.
  7. Glue three buttons to the topper and then secure to the card front with foam pads.

  2. Cut a piece of light Kraft card measuring 10x14.5cm and glue to the card front.

  4. Cut out the topper measuring 7.5x12cm and mount onto light Kraft card leaving a narrow border on all four sides.
  5. Fix in place to the card front with foam pads.
  6. Die-cut the hey word three times, glue together and fix to the card.
  7. Punch stars from blue and white card and attach onto the card.
  8. Finish with three Nuvo drops.
