Inspiration begins with a piece about a super talented German artisan. Tatjana Raum works with clay, textiles and other materials to create little pixies, figures and characters using natural materials like pine cones to create hats. Tatjana’s art dolls are only one aspect of a multi-faceted career which, away from the world of the 1/12th scale forest, includes larger sculptures. However, her small-scale work is incredibly popular beyond the miniaturist community and, each year, she is also able to bring her pieces to an even wider audience through a selection of beautiful decorations to hang on the Christmas tree.
For those of you looking to be productive and craving Christmas miniatures, look no further, as there’s a great selection of Christmas themed projects for you to tackle! Our team of talented artisans will show you how to make a decorated gingerbread house, paint a mixed media collage, use scraps of yarn to create decorative pom poms to name but a few.
