Despite being best known in the miniature world for her quarter scale creations, this month professional miniaturist Bea Broadwood shares one of her favourite 1/24th scale projects.

Regular readers will already know that when I began to make miniatures, 1/24th scale was my preferred scale. For me, the attraction of half scale dolls houses has always been that they are small enough not to dominate a room, yet large enough to retain a very high level of detail; both inside and out.
Back in 2007, I was so inspired by the scale that I set about writing a series of project books dedicated to it. The aim of the books was to show just how easy it is to create realistic dolls house miniatures in 1/24th scale, using only inexpensive craft materials.

Two lucky readers will each WIN a signed copy of ‘A Country Sitting Room’
