By Candy Chappill.
You will need
- Cernit clay
- Liquid Sculpey
- Colourant
- Mixing cup
- Stirring stick
Method
1. Using some Cernit clay, mould even-sized chunks into rectangle-shaped bricks. To get nice similar-sized bricks each time, make lots of same-sized balls, and then mould them. Once moulded, bake the bricks in an oven at 130°C for 15 minutes.
2. To make the grout, mix some Liquid Sculpey with some colourant. Candy used some
alcohol inks, but you could use acrylic paint, pigment powders, eyeshadow and so on...
3. To make your wall lay out your bricks and Liquid Sculpey as your grout. Bake in an oven at 130°C for around 15 minutes. If any grout has dribbled out, you could leave it for a rustic look, or carefully chip it off with a scalpel.
Simple as one, two three! Sit back and admire your miniature bricklaying skills...
