You will need:

  • Polystyrene balls
  • Polymer clay in black
  • Straw
  • Black card
  • Artificial snow
  • Twigs
  • Drill bit
  • PVA glue
  • Sandpaper
  • Skewer
  • Sewing pins
  • Scissors and scalpel
  • Cellotape
  • Spatula
  • Making Waves by Deluxe Materials

1 Attach two polystyrene balls together by drilling into both and securing a straw with some PVA glue. So your snowman stands up, sand the bottom with some sandpaper to create a flat spot.

2 Coat your snowman with PVA glue and sprinkle on some artificial snow. Skewer the bottom to make it easier to handle.

3 Using black polymer clay, mould some eyes, buttons and a nose, and place on some sewing pins.

4 Bake your elements as per manufacturers instructions. Once baked and cooled, apply to your snowman.

5 Using some black card, cut out a disc and black strip and assemble a hat. Again apply to a sewing pin. Using the sewing pin, carefully apply the hat to your snowman.

6. Using some twigs, select two fork shaped, and whittle the ends down to points using a scalpel. Insert into your snowman.

7. For the icicles, apply Making Waves to your snowman’s arms using a spatula. This can take a few layers to build up to the desired thickness.
