Make your own little1/12th scale tapestry travelling bag ...
You will need
• 6 x 75mm pieces of fabric
• Thin felt for handle and inside of bag
• Thick paper
• Glue
• Sewing thread and small needle
• Metal parts and rings
• Scissors
Step 1
Cut two 2 x 40mm pieces from thick paper (see template) and glue them onto your fabric. Leave 10mm in between.
Step 2
Bend the edges of the fabric around the card and glue in place. Leave to dry.
Step 3
Cut three pieces from thin felt, see templates.
Step 4
Glue the two smallest pieces of felt in place as shown. Leave to dry.
Step 5
Glue the big piece of felt (40 x 63mm) on top of the tiny pieces and let the glue dry completely.
Step 6
Now, bend the bag in shape and glue the other small pieces of felt into the opposite side of the bag. Leave to dry.
Step 7
Glue the rest of the thin felt into inside of the bag.
To make a handle
• Cut 4mm x 70mm from thin felt.
• Sew two tiny metal rings into the sides of bag.
• Thread the handle through the rings and glue in place.
• To finish the bag, glue a tiny metal part into the bag to form a lock.
