MY first dolls house was a gift from my parents when I was just nine years old. It was a lovely handmade house with a beautiful hand painted rowan tree on one side.
My love of miniatures stayed with me long after my dolls house was gone, but it wasn’t until my 35th birthday that I acquired another dolls house. I didn’t want this dolls house to be the normal run of the mill house so I decided to combine my love of miniatures with the wonderful celebrations of Halloween.
Witchywonders
My search for spooky miniatures began, and I found that there was a limited amount of sellers who actually stocked the type of spooky miniatures I wanted and the ones that did sell them, had quite high prices.
I decided to take the plunge and make my own spooky little miniatures. When my house was finished, I got lots of lovely comments from my friends, plus quite a few orders.
Because of this encouraging feed back I took the first steps into the world of eBay. I have since set up my own website www.witchywonders.co.uk which has proven to be very successful bringing in wonderful customers from all over the world.
I make and sell everything a little witch could cast a spell for, from furniture to all sorts of wonderful spell supplies. Witchywonders is about making quality one-of-kind spooky miniatures affordable to everyone.
The best part of my little hobby that has turned into a full time job is that I love everything about it, and I think I am very lucky to still be surrounded by dolls house miniatures at the age of 44. It is a bit like 'Peter Pan' I don’t ever grow up!
If you enjoy reading about and making miniatures why not treat yourself to a copy of the magazine, or better still order a subscription so that you never miss an issue.
