What's in this Issue?

But we begin by going ga ga for bespoke babies (page 9) created by Yana Ivanyuk. Each one of her OOAK dolls is handsculpted from polymer clay, beginning with strips of aluminium foil and short lengths of wire armature to create a firm base before sculpting the clay with needles and pins to create all the intricate facial detailing.

And (UK) miniaturists, make a note in your diaries, Miniatura takes place over the weekend of 21st and 22nd March at the NEC, Birmingham. If you’re one of the few who love miniatures but have never attended, you’re in for a treat. Miniatura is an excellent chance to stock up on all those essential modelling items. Turn to page 46 to find out more and for a look at some of the key exhibitors attending. Miniatura aside, there’s an abundance of content in the form of features, inspiration and projects.

Just before I sign off, Sandra Vickery from the Small Scale Fiddlers Club explains how to make an affordable grass applicator using an old bug zapper! Find out how on page 62.
